Drupal 6 has a host of JavaScript tools available to the Drupal developer. Theming, behaviors, translations, AJAX, autocompletion, drag-and-drop, jQuery effects... these are some of the goodies that come built-in to Drupal. Whether you are working on themes or writing modules, Drupal's JavaScript libraries can provides tools for adding rich interactivity to your site.

In this session, Matt Butcher (author of Drupal 6 JavaScript and jQuery) will introduce JavaScript programming in Drupal. Those with previous JavaScript development experience will get the most from the session. We won't be doing much with PHP, though.
